Fiducia book on human trafficking praised as one of the best of 2015

In 2014 Ana Isabel Pérez Cepeda and Demelsa Benito Sánchez published a book entitled “Trafficking in Human Beings. A Comparative Study of the International legal Documents” (Europa Law Publishing). The book drew extensively from FIDUCIA findings and argued that trafficking in human beings has become one of the most serious problems of the international community nowadays. Combating this phenomenon in an effective manner requires a comprehensive international approach of all countries.

Now, the book was mentioned as one of the best books in 2015 by critics Phillip Taylor MBE and Elizabeth Taylor of Richmond Green Chambers. In a sharp “video” book review
(available here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/phillip_taylor/17042397005/).

the reviewers suggested that “the time has definitely come for a book like this. The book calls for a fully international approach to what has become an appalling problem. To that end, it offers a full review of the major initiatives launched by several international organisations which have dedicated themselves to eradicating the odious practice of human trafficking”.

The reviewers conclude by saying that “researchers and journalists as well as legal practitioners will find this book, with its impressive research base, an enlightening and certainly sobering examination of this contemporary scourge”.

The FIDUCIA team is proud of this review and thanks the reviewers for their kind words.
